How far are you from Atlanta?  
  • We’re 45 miles east of downtown Atlanta and about an hour from the airport
How much do your packages cost and what do they include?
  • Our packages are priced depending on the options you choose.  You can price out your own personalized package here and see the details of what is included.  
 What is the venue capacity?
  • 250 guests including the bridal party
 What dates are available?

How do I reserve a date? Is there a deposit?  When are the additional payments due? Do you offer a payment plan?
  • To book a date, we require a $2000 deposit and a signed contract.  Nine months prior to your event date, another payment of $8000 is due.  30 days prior to your event the final payment is due. 
I’m still finalizing my guest count, do I still need to pay the balance at 30 days out?
  • Yes, you will need to pay the balance at 30 days before the wedding. We recommend you request your RSVPs for 45 days before your wedding to give time to finalize the count prior to the 30 day final payment due date.  If your guest count changes after the final payment, no problem, we can add guests until 2 weeks out. 
Do I need to schedule a tour or can I just stop by?
  • All tours are by appointment only (so we can give you our full attention).  You can request a tour here.
What is the average budget of a couple getting married at the Factory?
  • Good question! In general, we believe the average budget of a couple getting married at the Factory is around $30,000 for all wedding expenses..  We have had several couples with smaller guest counts host beautiful weddings here for around $20,000 as well as some very nice events with much larger budgets.  We offer catering, bar, floral/decor and day of the week options to fit a wide range of budgets – explore our packages and costs further on our packages page.
Is there a guest count minimum?
  • Yes.  Our packages are priced based on a 50 guest minimum.
Do we have to utilize your caterers and bar service?
  • Yes.  Our in house catering and bar options allow us to offer you a variety of quality, curated options to fit a range of budgets and tastes and are a significant part of our all inclusive packages.  
Will there be another wedding the same day?
  • No.  We host only one wedding per day at the Factory so we can focus on you and your event.
Are there overnight accommodations nearby?
  • Yes!  There are several great options for local accommodation.  See our accommodation page for a list.   
How many cars will your parking lot accommodate?
  • We have over 200 spaces at Walton Mill.  All of our parking is nicely paved and accessible and well lit.. 
Do you offer straight tables instead of round? 
  • We use round tables for most guest reception seating, but we do have a number of straight tables for serving, gift tables, head tables, etc.  
Do you provide table linens, cups, silverware, etc? 
  • Yes. The Factory includes these items and more in our (almost) all inclusive packages.  
What happens in case of rain?
  • Other than some great photo spots, the Factory venue is completely indoors and heated/cooled so rainy/hot/cold weather won’t impact your big day.   We also have a huge covered gathering porch off the reception room that is still comfortable in light rain.
We plan to have our ceremony offsite, or only plan to have our ceremony at the Factory.  Does your fee change?
  • Because we only host one event per day, our fee structure remains the same whether you hold your ceremony, reception, or both onsite.
What form of payment does the Factory accept?
  • We take cash, checks, debit cards and credit cards (visa or mastercard only; subject to an additional 3% processing fee). 
My preferred dates are unavailable. Do you have a cancellation waiting list?
  • No, we don’t keep a waiting list for cancellations because they are so rare.  If we do have a cancellation, we’ll post the date here as soon as it becomes available. 
What time will I have access to the venue to start getting ready?
  • We offer 14 hours of access, so you’ll have plenty of time to get ready.  
Do you include a “wedding day coordinator?”
  • If you are not already working with a planner or coordinator who is providing day-of services then we will require that you use one of our day-of coordinators to develop your timeline and help you manage the guests, vendors and wedding party.    
Catering and Bar Questions
 
What are our catering options at the Factory?
  • The Factory’s in house catering offers six wonderful and distinct dinner menus featuring a range of cuisines, selections and price points to fit nearly any budget or taste.  
How much should we expect to spend on catering and bar?
  • How much you will spend on catering and bar depends on the options you choose when you create your own package.  Check pricing of each option here.
 Can we bring our own alcohol?
  • No, we do not allow any outside alcoholic beverages.  We have a range of bar packages to choose from and provide all alcohol, servers, barbacks, barware, glassware and mixers.
Planning Questions
 
What time do you suggest we start the ceremony?
  • You can start the ceremony at 4:30, 5:00, 5:30 or 6:00.   
How will the tables, chairs, etc. be arranged for my event? 
  • We will work with you to create a floorplan for your wedding.   
Can we have sparklers on the property?
  • Yes you can! (with rules of course)
Can vehicles be left overnight?
  • No vehicles can be left overnight.  Please advise your guests of this policy.   
What time will the bar service and music end?
  • Bar service stops 30 minutes prior to the couple’s exit.  Music will need to stop by 11pm.  
Are candles allowed?
  • Yes, we love candles.  You have lots of options for candles and other decor in our floral and decor packages.  
How far in advance do you need our final headcount?
  • We will need your final count before or at your 30 day venue walkthrough.
 
Setup and Day-of Event Questions

Are outside snacks and trays permitted?
  • Outside food and drink is not permitted. We offer a range of Morning Drink packages as well as luncheon/snack options for your party to enjoy while you’re getting ready.
What is the event clean-up process?
  • Don’t worry about it!  We’ll handle the breakdown and cleaning.  You just have to remove your personal items by the end of your rental period.
Can we take photos around Walton Mill?
  • Absolutely!  We have tons of great spots for photos in our garden and around the mill property.  The smokestack, water tower, and several old industrial relics create some unique photo opportunities.
